Birds tangled in threads

Okay!!! Why I'm writing this is because it just happened to my pet parakeet today :( I happened to wrap my parakeet <"NEMO! Okay she's a parakeet not a fish :P"> with a dry towel after bathing her. I didn't notice that there were some uncut threads in it and so those threads got tangled in her tiny tiny legs. :( Usually untying these tangles are tiresome process <"which i managed to do somehow">.

When these situations arise we have to act with care. Cuz, these birds do get tensed like we humans do, so they start acting in their own way thereby messing it up. So, I've decided to put up these steps which U can follow when U find yourself and your pet in this situation

  1. Your bird is probably freaked out so calm down your bird first.
  2. Cover your bird's face first, usually with fine towel, cuz once their eyes are covered like its dark around them they tend to stay calm, this makes your business easy.
  3. Step 2 doesn't mean that cover your bird and let it suffer for oxygen to breathe!!! use a thin towel make sure your bird can breathe while you hold your bird firmly.
  4. Make sure you have enough light source around U so that U can see the thread clearly.
  5. Slowly start untying the tangle
  6. Make sure you don't pull the string so hard cuz your bird's legs are so fragile that even a soft thread may cut it
  7. If your done with this leave ur bird he/she is fine :)
  8. If not go to step one :)
Have a nice day !!! :D
